Open my eyes
by Geri L. Phillips

Father God, I pray to thee,
Please open mine eyes to see;

Every time I pass you up;
I miss the opportunity for you to fill my cup;

Every morning that I do not fit You in,
it makes You mourn for the time not spent;

Your beloved needs you  each and every day;
walking beside me, and beside me to stay.

Let me then open my heart;
Right now is a good time to start.

Let me love You as you have loved  me,
and forever beside me You will be.

Lead me back to that beautiful time when we spent our mornings together,
Lead me Lord, and lead me forever!

I love you dear Lord, and in Jesus' name I pray;
ForYou in my mind and my heart each night and each day.

With the Lord of my life may I not pass up any precious time;
For with You my path is made clear and Your love is sublime!

Thank You Lord!

A Sip of Grace

a sip of grace

You know its amazing,

How we could love the world

And love the girl

Yet hate the one who formed the world

And when the world fell

He took the scars for your girl. And you.

Its amazing that,

We can take pride in all theories and intelligences

Yet find it hard to believe

That a being with understanding beyond our human comprehension can create

Intelligently create

Each thing to work systematically

Specifically in its own order…

He just spoke, and it was, and it is, and it will be because He says so

With just one word.

It takes man too long to form arms against the enemy to protect us

But we have a defense that doesn’t allow any to prosper

Weapons are formed but don’t prosper,

So its amazing that we fail to trust the

True and living, amor,

Love, Word, God, Adonai.

Died for the victory of many who had already lost.

All had already lost their place in Eden.

The presence of God is our designed habitat.

Can the fish dwell out of water?

Can you dwell out of living water?

I was thirsty,

I tired to draw out of the well on my own strength.

But I was weak and weary.

No tin bucket could I carry, but the Maker

Creator of drink, poured a cup and offered me drink.

“This is my blood…which was shed for many.”

Put your name here and read

FOR YOU, Geri, I CARRY THE CROSS

I know the hurts you carry, My beloved;

Come, let Me carry them for you.

Oh, how heavy is the cross I bear

upon the road to Calvary;

My flesh is torn from the scourging

and I am weakened by the beating

-- that I took for you.

I know the hurts you carry, My beloved;

Come, let Me carry them for you.

I struggle to see the road ahead of Me

but My Blood drips from the crown of thorns

into My eyes, and I cannot wipe them

for I am bound up by the load

-- that I took from you.

I know the hurts you carry, My beloved;

Come, let Me carry them for you.

The crossbeam grinds into My wounded shoulder

and I feel the pain in all the tears of My flesh;

so it is difficult to remain aware that you are here,

but I remember, I remember that I carry the load

-- that I took from you.

I know the hurts you carry, My beloved;

Come, let Me carry them for you.

The biggest pain that I feel,

the pain that pierces deep into My heart,

is the realization that I have done all this for you,

and still, you insist on carrying the load

-- that I took from you.

I know the hurts you carry, My beloved;

Come, let Me carry them for you.

Please, let Me carry them for you.

Yes, let Me carry them for you.
