Jesus loves all / is for all

There seems to be a misconception about the "left's" view on the Christian, though many do claim themselves christian.

The first claim is that "we hate".

The second claim is that "we judge".

To this I will say I assure you a true christian does not hate and we care more than we are given credit for, for the helpless; the forsaken.

We wouldn't be practicing Christians if we did not proclaim God's word.  We were told by Jesus himself to proclaim the good news!  Along with the good news we are asked to see sin for what is really is.  Unfortunately this is often seen as "judgement".

Therein this misconception lies truth.  Truth that a true Christian knows that God is for everyone. Yes everyone!

But that does not mean He is for the sin that everyone commits.  On the contrary, he begs your obedience.  Keep in mind that Jesus always upheld His Father's laws.

How hurtful it must be to Him that we have gotten complacent with our obedience to Him, Even more so that we proclaim that which is not truth about certain acts of sin..........as is written in the bible, a book in which Christians believe is God's words, and God's laws;  A instruction book for life and a blessed life at that.

Nevertheless, He is for you.  Jesus is not against anyone because of their sin; in fact he is all the more reaching out to you to understand His great love for you ......and His desire for your obedience.

Whoever you are, whatever your sin, and whatever you read as sin in the bible, please know that the battle does not lie in others that you claim judge you;  The real battle is with God!

It should never be a surprise to anyone that a christian stands by and is convicted by the bible.

No, we are not haters.  We come before the throne ourselves to ask for forgiveness for our shortcomings.  Many things God asks of us are failed, and it doesn't matter what things.

The good news is that Jesus holds his hand out and ask you to follow Him and to walk in righteousness.  He is your help, your joy, your strength and your path,

On the path with him, we find ourselves less in battle with Him and more willing and longing to please Him.  That is a walk to christian maturity.

May you walk in the light as He is in the light!

Abortion perspectives

Abortion perspectives:

Your thoughts about abortion may be that it may be best to abort the baby if the baby may be abused and/or have a terrible life due to being placed in a foster home, etc.  

My thoughts:  Would you say that someone that suffers depression should have the right to choose to take her own life?  Wouldn't that also be pro-choice?

How many people in foster homes or those that come from a hard family life has done great things and have been blessed?  Do we really know?  Did you know that Steve Jobs was a foster kid?

Hands down, I believe that it is wrong and that we are much smarter these days but that in the name of human rights, it is allowed to be voted on.

I am only calling on you who may read this to see these perspectives and give it a lot of thought.  I am condemning no one.  Perhaps my perspective is wrong, but what if it is your perspective that is wrong?  

I try to align mine up with a God that I very much believe in.  He is my creator.  He gave us a Redeemer!

And...His grace abounds!

She Is 

She came into my life as a mother in law. She soon became a friend.

 She then became someone that through her insight fed me words of wisdom. 

She became to me someone that I liked to be around and hear the stories of her life.

  

She became someone that for a short time I was a caretaker for.

 Even during this time she made me laugh and told me stories and was my friend;

She became someone that just her sheer presence made me feel comfortable and right.

 As she became all these things to me I fell so much in love with that beautiful soul.

 Along with all of what she became, She is to me someone that I admire and love so much.

 I have been so blessed because she became and because she is exactly the soul that God intended!

Being a Christian

Someone once said that being a Christian is too hard. Many become discouraged because of our human fallacies. The bible is full of things that we are not to do. 

Jesus Himself sternly warns us to avoid sin. 

But how do you do it when everything is pulling you towards sin?  

First of all it is important to know that we are all sinners with a variety of sins. We are all depraved.  

If we are Christians we should take the bible seriously. We should not try to change it to our liking to justify our sins. 

What we need to do is repent on a daily basis. We need to ask Him to help us avoid sin. 

Test this and you will see how He moves to change circumstances, plans or whatever might cause you to knowingly sin. I know this to be true. 

The Lord's prayer is a perfect prayer to begin your day with.  Scripture reads that His grace is sufficient in all circumstances. 

While we ARE called to obedience it is a work in progress. 

Nothing worthwhile comes easy. But the deeper your relationship with the Lord, the more joy you have, the more determined you become to please Him; the One that gave His life for His beloved.  

So do not be discouraged on your journey instead deepen your relationship with Him. 

If you have not asked Jesus to reveal Himself to you then i encourage you to do so out of my love for you. He satisfies a hungry heart and His mercies are new every morning!

How important is scripture to Jesus?

Heaven and earth may disappear. But I promise you that not even a full stop or comma will ever disappear from the Law. Everything written in it must happen. If you reject even the least important command in the Law and teach others to do the same, you will be the least important person in the kingdom of heaven. But if you obey and teach others its commands, you will have an important place in the kingdom. (Matthew 5:18, 19 CEVUK00)

Seems as though it was very important to Him!  Do not try to dismiss the word of god. Do not be taken in by progressiveness.

The Holy Bible - Gods word incarnate

I am so tired and disheartened sometimes to see the ideologies of this new age. 

I just read an article about how "Progressive Christians" think that the readings in the bible cannot be taken seriously because it was written by fallible men and not the hand of God.

Seriously?

I encourage anyone that listens to this nonsense to do a whole lot of soul searching and praying about this before you jump on this progressive band wagon.

The Holy Bible is holy in that God gave men the ability, prophecy and gift to proclaim His good name.

He calls all sinners to repent and to accept Jesus as their personal Savior.  He does call us to obedience. 

We, as Christians need to stand firm on God's word and should not stand for those that would interpret the bible to their liking. 

It is what it says!  Nothing more.  Nothing less.

You either believe it or you don't.  There is no in between.

As Christians and fellow sinners, we are called not to condemn, but to be the light, the hands and feet of the Lord.

A Kiss on the Cheek, by Geri L. Phillips

I saw a friend one day that I haven’t seen in a while. I greeted him with a hug and one big smile. He kissed me on the cheek, in a very gentle way, Somehow this friendly kiss really made my day. I thought about his gentle kiss and appreciated the love. There was nothing sexual about it, just a nice gift from above. I saw my best girlfriend and I told her how much I care And that I appreciate her true friendship and how she’s always there. A kiss I did not give her, a hug would say it clearly, That you matter to me my friend and that I love you dearly. On the telephone with my brother we spoke about our dad. He told me that one day, my daddy was real sad. My brother had kissed his small child while my daddy had watched it all, Then with a tear in his eye, my daddy said to him “I wished I had more often kissed you all.” My brother told him that it wasn’t too late, that he could start today. Now my daddy greets each of us with a kiss and we know what he’s trying to say. I grabbed my mom one day while she was busy in her usual way, I kissed her on the cheek and said momma thank you for everything, and she said “Oh, it’s okay”. She seemed to pull me back towards her as I pulled away. Thank you for that show of love is what she seemed to say. Sitting with my daddy, who then had 82 years of life, I noticed that he seemed to be a little bit in strife. The words he shared with me indicated that he was in a spiritual bind, So I got up, kissed him on the cheek and embraced him from behind. I said Daddy you are good and he agreed that he was blessed. He has a wonderful family given to him by God, with conviction he confessed. As I looked into his eyes, I noticed that they began to be filled, With tears of love and joy from a moment of gentleness that could never be killed. There are some people that I think about, I wish I would have kissed more, Like my grandma in heaven that I can not embrace anymore.
